William “Todd” Middlebrooks, Esquire

Born in Miami, FL, William “Todd” Middlebrooks is a Fort Lauderdale personal injury lawyer. He is a Florida Bar lawyer and a Supreme Court of Florida Certified Circuit Court Mediator. He is admitted to practice in the State Courts of Florida as well as in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
Todd earned his law degree with honors from the College of Law at Florida State University in Tallahassee and was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1989. That same year, he began his legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in the 17th Judicial Circuit, serving Broward County, FL. At the end of 1992, he left the state attorney’s office and joined his father’s firm, Middlebrooks & Middlebrooks, P.A., where he has focused on personal injury, wrongful death, and dispute resolution ever since.

Edward Middlebrooks was more than a founding partner—he was the heart of Middlebrooks & Middlebrooks, P.A. His unwavering commitment to justice, his thoughtful guidance, and his compassion for others set a standard that still defines our work today. As a father, grandfather, husband, and mentor, he touched countless lives. His passing left a void, but his vision and values continue to inspire everything we do.
The son of Edward Middlebrooks, William Todd Middlebrooks now leads the firm with the same commitment to justice, client care, and legal excellence that his father established. Rooted in over five decades of family tradition, Middlebrooks & Middlebrooks, P.A. stands firm on the principles that built our firm, embracing the path Edward forged while paving the way for future generations of attorneys and clients alike.

Professional Involvement & Memberships

Throughout his career, Todd has been actively involved in the Florida Bar. He served for a number of years as a member of the Code and Rules Evidence Committee of the Florida Bar. He is also a member of the Broward County Bar Association, the Florida Justice Association, and the Broward County Trial Lawyers Association. In addition, Todd is also a member of The Tower Forum, an independent, non-partisan, not-for-profit organization founded by Broward County business and civic leaders in 1976 which hosts thought-provoking forums featuring national and local experts addressing, debating and discussing current headline issues ranging from government, business and the economy to the arts, education and sports. The Fort Lauderdale Forum Founded in 2003, the Fort Lauderdale Forum produces City oriented topics designed to update the knowledge of participating attendees by offering a platform for reasoned discussion of current issues affecting the residents of Fort Lauderdale and Broward County.

Lisa A. Ferreri, FRP

Lisa A. Ferreri, born in Mt. Vernon, NY, is a Florida Bar Registered Paralegal and a Supreme Court of Florida Certified County Mediator. She relocated to South Florida in 1992 and has since built a distinguished career supporting attorneys and guiding clients through complex legal matters.
Lisa earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science from St. Thomas College in 1989 and completed her Paralegal Certification at SUNY Long Island Campus in 1991. That same year, she began her career in Rockland County, NY, before continuing her work in South Florida. Her practice focuses primarily on insurance defense, plaintiff personal injury, and wrongful death cases.

Professional Involvement & Memberships

Actively involved in the Florida Bar, Lisa serves as the delegate for the Fourth District Paralegal Committee in Fort Lauderdale and is a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Florida Bar.
Lisa serves as Section Co-Chair for Broward County Bar Association’s Paralegal Section and is a member of its Publicity Committee. In addition, she is 1st Vice Chair of the Florida Justice Association’s Paralegal Section, a Committee member of the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Paralegal Section, a member of the Broward County Trial Lawyer’s Association, Tower Forum, The Fort Lauderdale Forum and an advocate and Committee member for The Tobacco Free Partnership of Broward.
Based in Fort Lauderdale, Middlebrooks & Middlebrooks, P.A. represents clients across Broward County and South Florida.
